Dragons vs Sekelempet again
Dragons FC clashed with Sekelempet FC on 8th Jan 2005 in the MMU Champions League playoffs.
Sekelempet has never beaten Dragons before this match, and the omens are bad for Dragons, who were missing several first-team players, with Chun Kerjasama, Fui Yuan, Fa Ming, and Yinn Sinn, not available due to job commitments.
Chuah aka Hyppia was injured, while Teck, Handric, and Jin Shen were having minor ankle injuries. Yap and Chau Yii were ruled out of this match due to their sudden fevers.
Sekelempet was noticably stronger than the team that lost 2-0 to Dragons in the last Cup competition. (we won by walkover, cos they were late >:) They have added 2 new strikers to their payrolls, and both boast of MMU League qualities.

During the match...
Ronan the self-appointed manager looks on, as Dragons were already down by 1 goal..
In first half, Dragons' new call-up, JJ aka Jaya Jusco, was tackled, and a stupid and crazy Sekelempet player kicked him while he was still on the ground. He still played on until the end of first half.
He told us that he needs a bandage for his hand, cos he can't move his fingers at all. The committee members said that he better go for a check-up, cos his hand maybe fractured. Chuah fetched him to see doctors, and it was confirmed to be a bone fracture.
Luckily, he didn't require any surgery. However, he will need at least another 2months before he can engage in sports. :(
As for the match, Dragons lost 3-1 to Sekelempet in the end, with Cunaldo's simple tap-in as Dragons' only goal.
Special credit must be reserved to Lord Alv, whom entered the field, and provided the killer pass for Cunaldo's goal.
Ah Lee put in a fine cross to the middle, and Lord Alv jumped to head the ball. But he then did the world's most superb fake, by heading nothing but air! As such, the ball reached Cunaldo and he scored.
Lord Alv was voted Man of the Match, and he fully deserves it. :)):))
And for supporters of Dragons, do not be disappointed, as although we lost, we still qualified for the MMU UEFA Cup. Our match will be on 22nd of Feb 2005, so stay tuned! :D
