Dragons FC has concluded their final group match against Chikaro, with a thumping 2-0 win! Man-of-the-match is Cunaldo, one of visitors to my blog, who scored both the goals with superbly taken penalties!
Dragons took the lead in the 8th minute, when striker Fa Ming was pulled by Chikaro's defender in the penalty area, and the referee awarded a spotkick.
Cunalldo converted it by drilling the shot low to the goalkeeper's right.
In the 17th minute, Dragons was again awarded a penalty. Fa Ming was clear to goal, when he was tackled by the goalkeeper who went out of his line, and trying to play advantage since Cunaldo was in possession of the ball, the referee let play continue on.
However, when Cunaldo again was tackled by another defender, the referee immediately gave the penalty. Cunaldo scored again with an almost carbon copy of his first penalty.
In the second half, Dragons were more content to defend, following manager's instruction to the letter. In the 35th minute, Dragons keeper, Feroz had a reccurrence of his knee injury, and was forced to be substituted. However, the defence, marshalled by Roppyia(who was changed to keeper after the substitution of Feroz), GosuKing, Sujen, and Gosu Khai kept hold of the fortress, and was rewarded with a hard-earned clean sheet. (meaning didn't let in any goal)
With this, Dragons' self-appointed manager decided to reward the players with a small meal at Subaidah later to celebrate this hard-earned victory! Cos like sujen said, it's better to celebrate now, cos we r scared if we lost tomolo (which shouldn't happen since we are so STRONG! >:) then we wont have mood to celebrate tomolo already.
Glory Glory Dragons ROAR!!!
