In the quarter-final, where Dragons FC was pitted against Unity, the latter emerged the winner, with a superb 3-0 win. However, there is controversy surrounding the first goal, a penalty, as Dragon's MVP Roppyia seems to have got the ball first when he tackled a Unity player. When the referee pointed to the spot, there was disbelief in everybody who saw the incident. Unity converted the resulting penalty, and the goal deflated the Dragons, who let in another two goals after the break.
